It’s been about a year since Park End Books published my novel Feast of the Sisters, so I thought I’d re-up my original post about it, with some extra material to whet your appetite.
Feast of the Sisters is a somewhat rare offering: an Orthodox Christian Southern Gothic YA horror novel. The main characters, Jo and Vicki, are Orthodox of Romanian descent living in rural Tennessee, but their family has been lapsing for a while. It draws on inspirations like Dracula, an old Serbian vampire novel, Stephen King, Shusaku Endo, and even Castlevania.
So go on, give it a taste.

An ancient evil has set the table in sisters Jo and Vicki's small Tennessee town. Moths and butterflies stalk the vampires' would-be victims, while unseen temptresses lure Vicki further toward a feast where she is on the menu. When Vicki disappears, gentle and sensitive Jo vows to do whatever it takes to save her—even tracking Vicki through the haunted lair and secret tunnels of a notorious, immortal killer. Will Jo and her friends stop the feast before it happens, or will they become its guests of honor?
